This is my first Truelocal review. I found Mytek Automotive doing an online search for a mechanic. I've got a road trip planned for next week and needed a log-book service for my newish car. I didn't want to take it back to the dealer due to their huge prices on car servicing. My last trusty, non-dealership mechanic has moved on. I saw a lot of positive reviews for Mytek during my online search, so I though that I would give them a go. I met George at Mytek this morning and he was awesome and very professional. He told me up front the cost of a general service and said that if I go ahead with the service, then I am the boss, so I have the right to say no to any work and associated costs that might be required above the general service. He also told me that he would call me during the day to give me this choice if any additional work was required. I first went to George because of the reviews I read here- I never normally bother actually writing them, but George deserves it 110%. His services are fantastic and so reasonably priced. He is like the textbook picture of great customer service- he even remembers my name 6 months after I first took my car there. I've heard horror stories of other mechanics doing extra work at horrendous prices without asking you first, but if George finds something wrong with the car he'll call you, explain fully what's wrong, give you a quote and give you time to decide, even if it's just little things. A few months ago I needed major work done- my clutch had worn out- he gave me a quote that wasn't matched by anyone else, repaired it beautifully, and then knocked money off the original quote for no other reason except how absurdly nice this man is! I went to George because he was recommended to me. I have now been taking my cars to him for years. My brother also has taken his cars for several years now.
I have sinced moved out of the area and still make the trip over to his shop! Always so accomadating and HONEST! A rare quality now days.
I would recommend him to anyone.
