Do you know bieng a long time customer of 'camera houses' and as a fellow business owner in Noosa and frequent supporter of customer service excellence that on 19 Jul at 1200hrs i purchased an Apple Power Adapter for my Apple mac PC from NOOSA CAMERA HOUSE at a purchase price of $109 and upon returning to my office and opening the thin plastic wrapper to the box I found the power connector to the PC was incompatable. Within an hour i returned to NOOSA CAMERA HOUSE with reciept & item in hand to explain that the item was not compatible and to ask 'the owner' to supply a compatible item or give me my money back ....Do you know as a fellow business owner in Noosa i was confronted by a very abrupt owner who refused my request to change the item as i had 'removed' the thin plastic which covered the box housing the power supply, in addition i was also refused a money refund (for the same reason). I am the business owner this "Noosa businessman" comments on in his review. There is a reason we do not refund on genuine Apple products as we cannot resell Apple products with open or damaged packaging. This person returned a charger he had opened (even though there is a picture on the packaging to check he had the right one) and when told we would not give him a refund he demanded from the staff member serving him to see me I went out to the counter to speak to him and told him I could not refund the charger he began yelling he was a very important business man in Noosa and became very angry and threatening Their was only three women in the shop at the time and we all felt very threatened by this mans behaviour
This man could not have purchased the same Apple Charger from the IT shop at Civic as they only sell non genuine Apple chargers
Iam the owner this "noosabusinessman" refers to The reason we do not refund Apple products with opened or damaged packaging unless it is faulty is because we cannot resell it. This man returned a charger he bought and opened after a couple of hours and demanded a refund When he was told he could not get a refund he demanded my staff member get the owner When I spoke to him and told him I could not refund the charger he became very aggresive and threatening and my female colleagues felt very threatened by his behaviour He could not have bought the same genuine Apple charger from the IT shop as they only sell non genuine Apple chargers
The staff are very friendly and attentive, but you must regard their store policy and respect that if you are not happy or change your mind they will not issue a refund. I see a lot of negative reviews with this as a main point but honestly in Noosa this issue is from the multitude of tourists who will purchase an item only to return it a few days later saying "not happy" after it has served their purpose. It happens to all of the retailers in this town and the people doing it need to stop. I'm sure there are some genuinely unhappy customers but the majority are just cranky that they made the mistake of not noting their return policy. Respect!
Disgusting Customer Service Noosaville Store
I have been a long time customer of CameraHouse. I have spent Thousands of dollars with them over the years, at various stores.
