I have been here for quite a few meetings and I have no negative comments at all. There is a large parking area underneath with easy access via the lifts. Ammenities are clean. There are numerous meeting rooms of varying size and I think it is a really nice venue

The staff are not friendly or good with children and they treat the place like a museum; kids aren't allowed to touch anything. They have a specificly segregated kids corner set up with a whole cupboard full of toys yet these toys can only be hired and are not to be use in the library even if you plan on hiring them. The kids are only allowed to play with the two toys they have out (a puzzle and a phone) which the kids got bored of very quickly. Furthermore when I attended the Storytime the lady who runs it was very bossy and rude, she never bothered to introduce herself or ask our names she just came over and told us do this, say it like that and started loudly talking to my child very close to his face (which obviously upset him). Then the next time when he was walking around before she had begun the Storytime she pointed at him and said "who's is this? Thank-you for the comments on our library and service. We apologise that the visit to the North Lakes Library and participation in our Storytime program were not positive experiences.

We will investigate to ensure there are adequate non-lending toys available for use in the library.

Yes that is correct, we discourage use of lending toys in the library prior to borrowing. We do this to prevent pieces being lost or mixed up with general play toys. This can result in pieces not being recovered and the item not being intact for the person borrowing it.

We would be happy to discuss in detail the issues raised about our Storytelling program. Our early literacy programs â?? Storytime and Baby Rhyme Time are very important to us and we want to ensure all participants reap the benefits of these programs.
