Nothern Hospital

Very dirty emergency department with blood spills on the floor (they were still there after we brought it to staff's attention three times). Awful, smelly emergency department toilets. Very limited and expensive food in the cafe but Epping Plaza is around the corner for food etc. On the other hand we were happy at the Northern as patients on the ward. Fairly clean wards, knowledgeable, pleasant staff, thorough doctors.

Very busy emergency department and waiting times can be very long. Staff are professional and caring and have fairly modern surroundings to work in. Out patients clinics are slow moving so be prepared to sit and wait.
