Oakville House

Wow, after reading the below reviews I wonder if I even went to the same place last night?? While the property itself was wonderful, perhaps need a bit of a revamp, the quality of the service and food was really below par. The host, was seriously inflexible with a range of things and expected the Bride & Groom to do what they wanted as opposed to what they had planned. On their first visit, my sister & fiancee were told that they could arrange the hall however they wanted, move tables and play around with the decor. However, the day before the wedding, we arrived at the venue only to be told we were no longer allowed to move the table off the dance floor, scrap the tacky church-like flower arrangements or take some of the wedding photography down. We had our Wedding on the 14th Feb 2012, my new wife and I, family and friends had a great time. Guests ranged from 9 months to 83 and everyone was catered for and the service was fantastic. Jo and her team were faultless and couldn't help us enough. The guests are still raving about the food. We recommend Oakville house to anyone wishing a smooth running, professional wedding day.

Just had our wedding ceremony and reception there. Absolutely perfect! Exceptional service. The owners and staff were very professional and it was obvious to see that this team had been working together for years. Everything ran smoothly and I did not have to worry about a thing :) Leading up to the big day, liaising with Jo & Les (the owners) was nothing but a breeze. They went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. They were very personal, always recalling who we were, making us feel that our wedding was their number 1 priority. I can not say enough good things about the people or the venue itself. The venue is stunning, with a beautiful welcoming and homely feel. The grounds are amazing and I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone! Photos do not do Oakville House justice :) You need to see the place and meet the people for yourself! May be jumping the gun here as my wedding is not until next year, however all dealings with Oakville House so far have been phenomenal. Both my Fiance and I are very excited about our big day and that comes down to the venue! Owners are lovely, very helpful and make you feel welcome. Venue is gorgeous and prices are reasonable! In fact, best we found (Value for Money!) Friends of Friends have also used Oakville House and speak highly of it!
