I bought a yearly Merlin pass which includes Oceanworld so that was our first place to visit. My boy is maybe a bit young to really enjoy all of the exhibits however loved the children's play area which is all safely padded. I think it I made a trip to visit here I might be a little disappointed but I am not a big underwater / fish fan so maybe that is why it didn't sustain my interest for too long.
The aquarium was nice, but very small - It's a great place to kill some time when you're visiting Manly.
If you're looking to go I suggest getting a 'Attraction Deal' as it's a little expensive for how small the place is.
I went a second time when my partners Dad did the Shark dive there - That looked like heaps of fun.
Bought tix as part of a wider deal with Sydney Aquarium. Across the Harbour on a ferry, very easy to reach and had an interesting, albeit smaller display selection. As compared to Sydney Aquarium. Nevertheless, still educational and my kids loved the visit. The design of the center was also very good and easily walkable.
Not as many attractions as Sydney Aquarium but for the price and the ease of being able to take the kids somewhere close for a day at the aquarium for a quater of the price it's definately not a big deal. The crew there really seem to know what they're talking about. A great day for the whole family, it's close to a Maccas so win-win!
