Optus

Been trying to decide what to buy to upgrade my phone - needed an all-in-one. Was already an Optus pre-paid customer, decided to get a plan to access web without massive costs. Did not like the idea of signing up online, then having to be hanging around waiting for a product that may or may not have been damaged in transit. Went to OW - called first and got very pleasant manager, she remembered me when I turned up and did transaction very quickly and efficiently. Got a gr8 discount on accessories as I am a Carer, and didn't try to sell me any unnecessary insurance, etc. Whatever management was there earlier, obviously it has been changed. Highly recommend!

Well, I can only but agree entirely with waloonman. I approached Optus World in Ipswich (I am in Ipswich working on a project site) begging for help with a failed wireless moden... (purchased from another OW outlet on Gold Coast - my home town) only to be treated in the most unusual and rude manner.

Eventually I had to (in a mad panic to keep my business moving) drive the 180km round trip to the Helensvale Plaza store on the Gold Coast to get assistance.

Thumb down to OW Ipswich Mall store - A business being cruelled by poor local management. Optus (Corporate) customer care is looking at my complaint, but all a bit too late for me.

The worst service I have ever received. On occasions that I have had to deal with them, the staff have been very abrupt and not helpful at all, and seemed all too eager to get rid of me. I only deal with them when I have to, and I advise others to do the same.
