Thank you Neville for being there for us on a Sunday morning, with a cheerful smile, complete range of tyres and great advice on our recent trip along the Gibb River Road.
Hi Linda,
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback. It's great to hear we were able to help you. We hope the rest of your trip went smoothly.
All the best,
Leonie & Nev
Do not go Neville is rude and unfriendly to legitimate paying customers and is only interested in the glory of tour buses.
My partner is a mechanic and just required a bit of help as we didn't have equipment for our required repair. He didn't even approach is to find this out and talked over a group to us as though we were idiots. Rude and would never recommend. Muppet central at over the range.
Hi Manxcat,
I am sorry to hear that you had a less than positive experience at Over the Range.
As you can probably understand, we are limited by our location. We try to do our best with what we have where we are, but some jobs just can't be done.
Neville has advised that the work that was requested (welding a shock absorber cover) is not a job he can legally or safely complete at our remote ...read more
Halfway along our Gibb River rd adventure we happened upon a car of french backpackers who didnt know about reducing tyre pressures for the corrugations, they already had only a rim as a spare, with three punctures already fixed by others. Ten minutes before we arrived, again a complete rear wheel had flown off to the bush and the remainder rear wheel was flat as a pancake. With only 2 front wheels left, we donated our 2 spares and drove them to over the range. Expecting the worst for the poor broke frenchies.... $$$$$. This was so far from the case. They were very well looked after. Neville and Carl are absolutely wonderful and genuinely want people to be safe. Neville has a cheekly little friendly reply for any "well we didnt have a choice but to come here" customer comments... he must hear it a million times a day and doesnt hold it against anyone! There are choices. Other stations do offer some services. And by being here he provides an option. We have ...read more
G'day Mulletheaven,
Thanks for your wonderful feedback.
Safety is a high priority at Over the Range, and we really try to help people out of any fix they find themselves in, but it isn't easy running a business in the bush!
It's so great to get positive reviews like yours. I think I'll incorporate your last line into our promotional materials - "everyone has a story of woe brightened with a sparkle of Over the Range magic".
All the best,
Leonie, Nev and the Over the Range team
These guys are absolutely the best blokes for hundreds of kilometres around. They complete a wide range of mechanical repairs for very reasonable prices. We rolled up with a few tyre and caravan problems, they sorted us out and let us camp the night in the yard so we could get the major repairs done in the morning. Thanks Carl and Nev, you're the best!
Hi Cooljon123,
Thanks a lot for your great feedback. So glad to hear you got all your problems sorted and had a good experience on your travels.
See you next time,
Leonie, Nev and the Over the Range Team.
I blew a "35 inch mud terrain tyre on the Kalumburu road when traveling the Kimberly recently (much to my horror). These are usually tyres that I have to order in when I'm home in Sydney so you can imagine my delight when I arrived at Over the Range to find a set sitting by the side of the workshop. This is a very busy little workshop, so there were a few people in front of me all hoping to get their vehicles repaired and on their way. I didn't mind waiting the 20mins or so because the nearest place for any mechanical or tyre repairs was at least 200ks away.
I was served by a guy named Carl who couldn't do enough for me, he was polite and very customer service oriented and although moving very quickly as he was very busy, he managed to explain what he was doing, and why, as well as giving me advice on some other suspected suspension problems. He is a real asset to ...read more
Hi T Pav,
A very belated thanks for your review - apologies that we somehow overlooked this last year. September was a mad month at Over the Range, literally! We are so pleased you had a good experience here and wish you well on your adventures.
All the best,
Leonie, Neville & Carl
