Paesano
Some of the pasta dishes are really nice and friends raved about the stone steak. They cater for food intolerances here which is good and there is a good variety of dishes. The food is reasonably good but it's not a cheap eat and nor is it such outstanding cuisine that you would dream of returning constantly. It is a decent eat and you can get the buffet for functions (I also avoid buffets for various reasons) You can eat free on your birthday and there are various specials which are very family friendly.
I am a regular customer, especially after finding out that they cater well for most intollerances (fructose, lactose gluten etc), which is extremely rare for an italian restaurant!
The staff are a bit of a mix; there are a few shining stars there that take pride in what they do, and I seemingly am lucky enough to be served by them a lot of the time. Admittedly there are others that aren't quite as switched on, but it has never ruined my experience.
The Gnocchi Pollo Funghi is a fave - yummy! My partner often gets pizza, but isn't taken by the gourmet style pizza's. A great tip; you can order "regular" pizzas that are not stated on the menu, and they are also great!
Went here last night to catch up with a best friend for dinner. Got a table for two at 5:00pm. At 7:00pm the bill was rudely slapped on our table even though we hadn't asked for it yet & at 7:45pm, WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE BECAUSE THERE WERE "PEOPLE AT THE DOOR WAITING FOR TABLES"!!! They were just walk ins, no reservations & I hadn't even finished my glass of wine yet. I will never go back - We were absolutely disgusted!!!
I took my family to Paesano's for lunch yesterday, it was our first visit. There were approximately 20 customers in the premises, I observed at least 6 Waiting Staff working in the course of our entire visit. We waited to be seated. We were ignored by two staff members nearby. Eventually we were seated, and received menus, we were then promptly forgotten about. I had to approach the counter to advise we were still waiting to place our orders. In fairness, the other staff member I approached was most apologetic, stating the staffs were "off their game", and then staff took our orders, as well as the next table to us that had also been forgotten. We then watched as other people arriving (and placing their orders) after us, received their meals before us. When our garlic bread arrived, the 4 plates were put down collectively in front of me before the staff member left, apparently the plates were my responsibility to distribute out to diners on my table.
