The convenience is the plus for Centro for holiday makers & locals, offering a full sized Woolworths, a number of speciality stores, a Build-A-Bear store and a massive Timezone & Ten Pin Bowling on top. Not a huge centre but very to grab the essentials or a unique gift. A makeover wouldn't hurt to keep up with the modernization of the Coast.
Centro Shopping Centre in Surfers Paradise is such an old, run-down place. It's pretty awful. The flooring is really old & grotty, there's so many empty shops, windows boarded over & the place has an old funky smell to it. Centro either needs a huge overhaul, or a rebuild. The lifts are so dirty, the glass is filthy & the dirt is so thick it falls off in clumps.
I don't know why anyone would come here, except to grab some groceries while on holidays. It certainly doesn't fit into the sunny "Gold Coast" tourism image for this area.
