The Park was developed in the 1920s and 1930s by Spanish immigrant Jose Paronella, an early eco-tourism operator. The drive to Paronella Park takes you through the great cane fields in North Queensland. It is a pleasant and quiet drive and once you familiarise yourself with Jos Paronellas history in the cane fields, it makes the drive more memorable. Upon arrival we were greeted by the current owner, Mark Evans, who is also a ...read more
