This is s a good spot for a quick lunch. They take eftpos with no mimum (or at least they accepted eftpos for my $8 sandwich so I assume they have no mimimum) whih is a massive positive for those of us who don't carry around a lot of cash. It is part of the Sydney Central Plaza foodcourt but has a number of tables and chairs inside for patrons. This increasese your chances of finding somewhere to sit (compared to the general food court seating areas) even during peak times. They serve an interesting selection of pasta salad type meals and have a nice range of sandwiches. I got a chicken baguette and it was really nice.
This place is super quiet in the morning perfect for a quick stop on the way to work for a coffee. Just like Pasta Pantry in Liverpool street the coffee tastes great although i did notice a price hike just because it is in the Central Plaza which i thought was annoying.
Pasta Pantry at Sydney Central Plaza is a recent, exciting addition to the otherwise a run-on-the-mill food court lacking style and decor.
Not only is the place spacious with plenty of small tables and chairs available as well as some high tables and stools, it has a very clean wooden decor that is certainly a cut above the rest.
Pasta Pantry serves pasta, pizza, salad, and all things Italian (including sweets!) as well beer, wine, and coffee -- simply said, it has everything you need to satisfy your lunch needs, and then some.
Despite all of the above, the food and beverages are still affordably priced. As of Pasta Pantry standard, the servings are reasonable and the food taste quite good, leaving you wanting more instead of feeling bloated after having the meal.
The place definitely serves as an oasis and a getaway from this busy area of the city.
