A must visit if you like animals and great for the kids too. Very reasonably priced entry which includes a small bag of food to feed certain animals such as the emus, kangaroos, wallabies and pademelons. There are many different native animals to see and it's set out in a very spacious park. There is also a free range area where you can hand feed and pat the kangaroos and wallabies. The emus are also roaming in this area and are not shy at all and may even try to steal the animal feed if you're not careful. Some parts of the park are a little run down, such as some information signs but all in all, a great day out with lots to see.
Phillip Island Wildlife Park offers a fun day trip from Melbourne with exposure to heaps of varieties of native wildlife including dingoes, kangaroos, wallabies and wombats. It's an easy drive from the penguin parade and entry is quite reasonable and includes a bag of feed for kangaroos. It would be great if they had healthy snacks as well as sweets and ice-cream.
