We found the Pithara tavern late one night and was welcomed by Gordon and other staff. After a long day of travel it was wonderful to find great accommodation at a great price and breakfast was included! This is certainly a welcome bonus when travelling with children. Our dog was embraced as well, and enjoyed playing with Duke, Gordon's very placid dog. I would recommend this as a place to feel at home and welcome Never judge a tavern by its external appearance only. It is a renovation in progress. Top value.

Fantastic value for money, loads of character and great food! Would definitely stay here again. The complimentary breakfast is a plus too.

Thanks Gordon!

Pithera Tavern has to be one of best value pub stays in WA. A restoration in progress full of character and charm both the tavern and the charismatic host Gordon who is definitely the host with the most personality. As travellers from the East we fell upon the tavern by chance and experienced our best stay in WA. The rooms are delightful with clean crisp linen, great meals and the atmosphere cosy, warm and welcoming What more could you want and only 237kms from Perth which makes for a great weekend stay if youre lucky enough to live in WA or for travellers it offers affordable and comfy accommodation. We look forward to Pithera revisited!

A work still in progress but well worth the visit. Lovely bedrooms ( queen & twin). Gordon is an excellent host and we came away feeling like part of the family. Will definitely stay again and look forward to seeing the cellar exposed. A piece of history being lovingly restored and a great place as a base for exploring the area - or having a weekend away with a group of friends. Thank you Gordon - a pleasure:)
