New to the area but have used Pizza Capers 4 times. First 2 brilliant - fast delivery - hot fresh delicious food. 3rd time was quoted 1 hour dly so decided to pick up (Ready in 12 mins) -got to the shop and found 2 customers and 2 dly drivers/cars in the car park. Why an hour dly? Pizza was hot and nice but not as nice as previously. Today rang at 5.30pm - advised 1hr 15 mins dly!! Decided to wait anyway. Arrived 1hr 5mins - bonus! However - our food was BARELY WARM! We live 5 mins drive from the shop - we bought 2 pizzas, chicken wings & classic garlic bread - all were BARELY WARM. The sour cream that had spilled onto the cardboard next to my pizza had almost solidified from sitting so long. The sour cream on the pizza should have been shiny & moist but instead was dull and flat looking - a classic sign of sitting. Following our review we received a visit from Gary at Pizza Capers Albany Creek. He explained some issues he has been having and is working on rectifying and was very apologetic. We are happy to learn this is NOT the usual standard of service at AC and also happy to have our complaint taken seriously. We will give them another go because the first two times their pizza was very very good.
Decided to splurge out and have someone else do the cooking on Saturday night. Had a hankering for pizza and had a voucher for Pizza Capers so decided to phone for a pick up pizza.
Telephone staff were friendly and efficient. Were told we could pick up our pizza in 15 minutes - impressive on a Saturday night! Arrived at shop & was greeted by a friendly young gentleman at the front counter. Presentation of shop & staff members was clean and tidy - well done. ...read more
