These guys are a rip off! Charged me $550 plus gst to change a thermostat in hot water system. 30 mins work and what I later found out was $80 in parts. I would not recommend these guys. I was getting them to quote a bigger job too. Silver lining is that I dodged a bullet there!
Wife rang up about a leaking pipe was told over the phone it would cost around $150-$250 ballpark. (i checked it out prior and needed a dab of solder on a small hole) Guy turns up and says this job starts an $395+ GST and doesnt know where the previous price came from. We said No thankyou. Due to time constraints ended up geting the job done by these con artists for $300. and all he did was put a dab of solder on the hole!!
Stay away. Underquote to get the job then sting you.
My original plumber was injured and I needed someone ASAP to reroute a draining pipe for a kitchen/laundry renovation, I tried numerous plumbers and they were all busy.
Even though Sam from Platinum Plumbing was booked out he came to my place after hours, cut through the reinforced slab, which took 3 hours, then rerouted the pipe.
He then came back first thing the next day, checked the new pipes and finished the concreting. Just in time as my floor tiler
arrived later that day.
Sam was very helpful and professional.
I can highly recommend his services.
If you want to be ripped off then go no further than Platinum Plumbing Solutions!!! A female friend needed a plumber to fix a leaking tap. Sam from PPS came to her house and simply replaced it with a cheap shoddy tap and charged her $660.20!
When he was later ask to provide an itemised receipt with how much he paid for the tap etc. he refused. He also mocked the fact that she paid that price and said "well no one put a gun to her head and made her pay it". He then hung up on us.
What a disgusting man and company this is! You hear about trades who take advantage of women and elderly people. Well this is one!!!
called plumber for sewer blockage. They couldn't provide price range over the phone. They used high pressure hose to unblock even though full of tree roots. Advised they would cut some of the roots but didn't. Charged $390 to use hose. Used a camera to identify where the roots were without telling me it would be extra then charged an extra $200 when billing. Major rip off.
