Michael was recommended to us. Had the entire home done with his shutters.
Was advised he used the best materials and that we would be very happy. Within a year the cover of the shutters started bubbling and the side plate of the shutters started bubbling/corroding too. It took me years via calls and text to get his attention . He was not interested to assist in the repairs. Fast forward 5 years I initiated a case against him given that he wasn't proactively trying to resolve the matter. He stated that the aforementioned rust and corrosion were beyond the warranty period of 5 years ( despite trying to get him to attend during the warranty period). Please stick with a reputable company. At the time
of install Michael had stated despite the fact his shutters came with a 5 year ...read more
Hi Bill our warranty doesnt cover if you use a chemical cleaner as stated in our clear and easy to read how to clean your shutters manaul, the only cleaner recommended is soap and water.
One of the worst decisions I made was to use Michael and his window shutters company…Prestige Shutters. The quality of the work and parts used was very poor. Within a year of installing the window shutters the parts started falling apart and when we enquired about getting them fixed or replaced Michael wanted to charge extra for the work that wasn’t done properly in the first place. Very unhappy and would not recommend to use Prestige Shutters!
Hi Michael, I'd like to thank to your company and the excellent service provided by you not only to choose my shutters but also through the process of installation. You were very flecxible accomodating my schedule and was a delight to deal with. The shutters look and work impecably and I have got very goof value for my money. I'd like to recommend your company to anyone who needs a Window Shutter in the future. Please feel free to add my endorsement to any promotional materials you have in the future.
Sincerely, Mo.

Michael responded with a condescending "sweetheart, that's not how warranties work", despite this being the industry standard, as shutters are considered fixtures and legally must be sold with the house. Still, he booked an appointment to come look, but never showed up. My wife called him to ask where he was, and was told "it's raining too hard, so I'm not coming". Seems he had no intention of letting us know that on his own.
I then called later to ask again about the warranty, and Michael told me he doesn't know, he'd need to see if the contract allows it, and it's up to me to ...read more
