It’s so exclusive that finding this retreat is not easy. Winding up a steep path the car slips a little towards a security gate, you arrive and your car and worries are whisked away as you are greeted warmly by the team. Pretty Beach House is a private guesthouse that perches on the Bouddi Peninsula set on an escarpment looking over Pretty Beach. Each lodge has a private outdoor pool – the resort has a maximum capacity of six people! Dinner time is when it suits you, which is the same answer you get when you ask what time breakfast will be served. Stellar Sydney chef Stefano Manfredi whips up a lovely degustation menu in the atrium, for lunch a hearty soup and some salumi to start and for breakfast, perhaps eggs with crispy prosciutto and spinach, honey from local hives and his own clotted cream.
