There's not much to the success of this store: take fries and add yummy things on top. And that is what they do. Given this secret recipe, they're not so cheap, but they are tasty. They don't stinge on toppings either.
I just had a large and to be honest it was filling but I wish I'd shared it with someone and some 'real food'.
But it was yummy!!!
As I was wandering through Adelaide's City Cross Arcade one lunch time I saw this stall and immediately knew that it meant one thing – poutine. I have to say that I have been pretty impressed with some of the poutine I've had in Melbourne so I decided to see what this place had to offer. The service was excellent, and the chips were pretty good, however I was a little disappointed in what I ended up ordering. When I ordered the Montreal Classic it turned out that the beef wasn't cooked the way I like it (apparently it's smoked). However they do have a number of poutine options available, and if you don't like the idea of poutine, you can try one of their superdogs (though I ended up having the poutine).
I had a craving for fries again in my lunch break and decided to fix the craving by coming here. It was better than the last/first time visit but the chips were quite salty. I have mixed feelings still about it but I won't shut them out because I did actually like their fries, maybe it's the classic topping I don't like. Anyways maybe I'll try a hot dog next time and see how that goes.
My friend posted an Instagram picture of his Quebec Fries dish and it tempted me enough to try! I came here on my lunch break to cure my curiosity, but it didn't satisfy my fries craving unfortunately. I got the 'poutine' fries and I ate enough of it to know I didn't find a wow-factor about it, sadly. I do plan to come back again to try their hotdogs and maybe another different type of topping on the fries.
