Just wanted to send you a quick email to sing the praises of your company.
We and our guests could not rave nearly enough over the delicious food and how much food was provided – we had plenty of left overs the next day for lunches and dinners.
We would also like to highly compliment the Chef Kylie – she was AMAZING and I just can’t compliment her enough! Professional, happy, very accommodating with late guests and helped us more than what I think she really had to – she is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend her and your services to any of our friends and family.

Absolute rubbish, and a total embarrassment. The meat, allegedly lamb, pork and beef, was dry, cold, over cooked, tough and very poor quality. Not sure when it may have been cooked but it certainly wasn't on the day as no vestige of moisture was present at all. The salads were horrendous. The cole slaw was oily, slimy and had an interesting 'sheen' to it. The potato salad was obviously slathered in the same oil slick dressing and was nothing more than canned diced potatoes. The green salad may have been green once, but that was a while ago. The Greek salad was as 'good' as the green salad.
I have no idea why a chef was required to be in attendance as everything was well and truly done to death prior to arrival. No refrigeration of any sort and the desserts ended up being some little squares of ...read more
These guys did an amazing job at my daughters 21st afternoon tea in August. The food was delicious, we had plenty of it and I didn't have to worry about anything. The ladies that came were really friendly and efficient. They cleaned everything up. Would recommend them to anyone. Excellent - wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Very disappointed by this company who catered our engagement party back in feb 2014. The booking process was easy and hassle free so I was excited about the food. However was massively disappointed on the day. The promised "succulent, juicy meats served in a Bain Marie" were dry and tough and served In a plain old foil tray which will not keep them moist at all!! The "hot jacket potatoes" were in fact just boiled potatoes. I paid for 10 extra people than who showed up and yet there was not enough garden salad and only a handful of meat left over, if all my guests had shown up there simply would not have been enough food. I paid for a cook staff to stay 4hrs but I'm not even sure this person was there for 2hrs. Also with no refrigeration or cooling equipment what so ever I was asked when I would like desert serving, when I asked if we could wait until everyone had finished eating main I was told that we should probably serve it now as there was no fridge. Qld Spit Roast Catering has a very good website, so we were looking forward to a good Aussie BBQ lunch. We were hugely disappointed to be served such low quality food when we were celebrating an important occasion. There was very little food, especially the salads, which is just as well because they were awful. I didnt dare have the potato salad, which looked like canned diced potato with only slimy looking mayo and red onion in it. The lettuce in the garden salad were turning brown. The Greek salad was actually a garden salad with bits of black olives and fetta crumbs thrown on top. The coleslaw was slimy it just wasnt pleasant at all. The meat was ok, but its not hard to go wrong with sausages, sandwich steaks and rissoles. Each person was only allowed one sandwich steak and one sausage or rissole. We over-catered hence people were allowed to have seconds. Most just went for the sausages and no one touched the salads again. We just threw the left-over ...read more
