The Queenstown Cabin and Tourist Park offers caravan, cabin and camping accommodation in Tasmania’s west. Queenstown is a four-hour drive west of Hobart (256 kilometres), and forty minutes from Strahan (40 kilometres).The Park offers self-contained cabins (two, four and six-berth), on-site caravans, powered and unpowered camping sites and grassed tent sites. Guest facilities include an undercover barbecue area, communal amenities block and laundry facilities. There is also a games room. Queenstown is a mining town with a rich history. You can take a tour of the Mt Lyell Copper Mine, see the Miners Siding or visit Lake Margaret Power Station. Try a four-wheel drive tour or fish for trout in Lake Burbury. Visit Strahan and cruise Macquarie Harbour, take a walk on Ocean Beach or ride a steam train through rainforest and mountains. You can see the vast Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area from the air on a scenic flight, cruise or kayak along the glassy water of the Gordon River or even join a rafting expedition down the world-famous Franklin River.
