I purchased a couch off eBay and used Quick Pick movers to have it picked up and delivered. I was advised as per email that delivery would be between 1-5pm. Couch arrived a5 11:30-1145pm. Poor communication. Initially I had to call and speak with one of the managers to find out what was going on.
However, the actual drivers/removalists that ended up retrieving my couch were very professional and pleasant.
Thank you for Chantel for your review. We appreciate your constructive feedback. I apologise for the lateness and lack on ongoing communication. We did originally plan to get to you with in the specified time frame however we had to assist a single mother assemble her children’s beds, which took considerably longer than planned. We do apologise. I have also shown your review to all our staff to ensure we communicate more often and more effectively with our clients.
The good: Movers arrived on time, with a 6 tonne truck, as described.
The bad: The move was meant to be simple, in fact the movers commented that it would be an easy job when they arrived. No white goods, minimal furniture, everything was pre packed and less than a dozen boxes. Moving from a small house to a unit, 15 mins away. This is job that should have taken less than 2 hours. However, one of the guys spent more time playing with his phone and trying to make idle chit chat, rather than actually moving furniture... Update - I received a call from Adam at Quick Pick movers the morning after I wrote the above review. He advised the staff had been dealt with accordingly and has arranged a partial refund, bringing the amount down to the 2 hour min charge. Thank you for resolving this Adam, your prompt response was greatly appreciated.
We were very pleased by Christian and Bob's service in moving our belongings in mid August. They were very careful with our belongings, efficient, communicated clearly about their strategy for moving certain items and their expectations with timing, and they were terrific at moving large items (e.g., fridge) through a narrow doorway. Our move went very smoothly and took less time than we expected. Thanks very much for your great service and for the good value for money.
