Ramen Kan

Good place for a casual Japanese feed. I love taking people here because in order to access this place you have to go up a dodgy lift so it always makes for an interesting experience to whoever you're taking here. Kaisen Don is my go-to dish here.

It had been a few years since I came here but my recent trip a few days ago brought back memories of why I loved this place. Don't be put off by the random door you walk through, the out of order elevator, or the dodgy graffitied staircase with an old bed frame in the way... This place has pretty great ramen. The staff are very friendly and it was packed, even at 9pm! Ramen is delicious, and when they say 'spicy', they mean it... Dishes are around $14, and lunch and dinner specials are great value.
The karage side dish is $3 and comes with 3 large pieces of karage, a perfect compliment to my ramen.
