I read about saving money by getting the excess insurance stuff separately from hiring my car on holiday in the paper and it was so much cheaper, I would definitely recommend it. There's a few companies to choose from, but I went with this one because it was local and I have absolutely no complaints. Definitely worth the little bit of extra time it takes.
