Richmond Cottages
Richmond Cottages are two self-contained heritage properties at Richmond, in south east Tasmania. Richmond is an historic village, 20 minutes (27 kilometres/17 miles) north east of Hobart.Richmond Cottages offers a choice of two restored 1830s cottages. Ivy Cottage, originally built as the Sergeant’s quarters, is a three bedroom house featuring queen, twin and single bedrooms, a comfortable living room with cosy wood heater, combined kitchen and dining area and a bathroom with an antique claw foot bath.The Old Stables is a smaller, one bedroom cottage housed in the original stables behind Ivy Cottage. The two-level cottage features an open plan living and dining room with a wood heater and small kitchenette on the ground level, and a double bedroom with spa en suite spa upstairs. Continental breakfast provisions are supplied in both cottages.Richmond is famous for its Georgian architecture.
