Road Runners Transport

Just hopeless. When queried about a late delivery they said it would be delivered by COB Monday.When this didn't happen they decided they had already delivered it the previous Friday. When challenged on this they said actually it would be delivered by COB Tuesday. They then wouldn't leave the parcel at the address, despite no signature being required. In the end I had to collect from depot myself on Wednesday. 0 stars.

There should be a zero stars rating for this business. TWICE now they have refused to deliver, failed to communicate my package was at their depot and lied about it. Then expected THE CLIENT to drive 25 minutes to a post office and pick up the parcel they paid to have delivered to their door because "its outside our delivery area." Bollocks! When you pay $130 for HOME DELIVERY that's what you bloody well expect. The first package was at their depot FOR THREE WEEKS! They never left a message on the receiver's answering machine or sent an email. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I had to go chasing THEM to find out what had happened to the delivery. And now it's happened AGAIN. Fair Trading is going to hear about it.

This company was used as a subcontractor due to Couriers Please not servicing the west coast. My parcel was tracked and arrived in Devonport at Road Runners depot on a Wednesday morning, unfortunately a week later it is still sitting there and no answer as to why, and at last contact the estimated delivery would be by the end of this week, a total of 9 days from when they received it. This will bring the total wait time from original dispatch to delivery to 16 days!!! Why did I pay for a courier when australia post would have been quicker. update....the parcel has just arrived at my door after a week, ironically it came in a truck that has driven past my door on 3 occasions since tracking indicated the parcel was at the road runner depot awaiting dispatch. I was on the phone this morning to see where it was and was told later this week for delivery - clearly they have no idea of what is happening with items they have. Avoid

Road Runners web page advertises door to door service yet they do not provide it. We recently ordered more blinds from the mainland and on Friday received a phone call saying they don't deliver to our area any more. After being told they have delivered here before and their vehicles are often seen out this way, we were told they decided not to deliver out here 2 weeks ago. Not really our problem. They expected us to drive 45 minutes to East Devonport to 'collect' our delivery. In the end my husband had to drive down to Penguin and meet the driver on the side of the road to collect our parcel, still a 20 minutes drive from our house. You were paid to do a door to door service. Why accept a delivery you are not prepared to complete. The company sending us our order are refunding our delivery fee, although it is not their responsibility.
