I loved the tasting bar at Rockford. Although cramped (and SO busy), it was just gorgeous. Full of old dusty bottles and huge barrells of fortified wine above us (9 tonnes, if I remember correctly). It was easy to imagine the rich history of wine making there. My favourite was the reisling from Rockford. OH and the local art featured around the grounds
This is a picturesque winery with some quality wines. You can also try and buy chutneys and jams made by a local producer - all good, their shiraz sauce is the best.
If you are lucky enough to be a Stonewaller (their VIP list), make sure you book in for one of their lunches - it is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon.
