I attended the open day on 8th February 2015. I was charged $8 cash only for an entrance fee! Outside there were about 8 oil paintings for sale, a small card table of home grown herbs, and 3 stalls of hot and cold food. I was charged $10 for a sausage and a slice of bread. I received the last slice of bread, the person next in line was charged $5 for a sausage only. $5 !!! for a slice of bread! and running out of bread at 2.30 p.m. is a joke. I wanted to buy oil but I was told there were no more small bottles that I would need to buy the larger ones which I refused to buy !
I would not recommend this outing as there is nothing to do there but sit on some bales of hay and walk for about 5 to 10 minutes around the place and view the grapes which were covered with nets. The entrance price is ridiculous! As I was leaving, I noticed parking fines on 8 cars. NEVER AGAIN!!
Lina and Tony are wonderful people. Very generous in their support of community gardening, local associations and healthy living events. They have an amazing open day every year. But I also find their olive oils to be superb and their Zibbido wine to be charming. I visit several times a year to keep my pantry and those of my two daughters stocked with oils and nice wine.
