This is without question one of the top medical centres in the Sydney Eastern suburbs area. The doctors are all highly competent and professional - and what sets them apart from other medical centres, so to speak, is their inherent very caring and compassionate nature - matched with an equally high level of medical competence and knowledge. What is also ESSENTIAL to mention is the exceptionally high quality of service and customer care of the reception staff. Being a receptionist at an extremely busy and popular medical centre is NOT easy. Most other centres whose front of house staff are under high pressure can often [unintentionally] come off as dismissive or abrasive. However, here, the reception staff are as caring and supportive as the doctors. I *wish* I knew 'all' the receptionists' names. However, I am a bit of a 'tricky' patient and so in particular - Susan and Michael are always very quick to make accommodations to ...read more
They are 20-30 minutes late EVERY single time. The staff are slow and easily distracted. No one seems to know how to use a computer.
Perhaps other doctors there are better but given the amount of options available now.

unlike some people who can't understand why medical practice doesn't run like a car-wash, I know that a busy medical practice usually means a good one and that was certainly my experience. Sometimes you just have to be patient and realise that people are not cars, that some problems are more urgent than others and some need more time to fix. next time, try waiting in a Public Hospital emergency department
Emergency rooms are different. This is a G.P. that means it is a business and it is run like a business.
If I pay for an appointment at 2pm, one of the four paid people on the desk could at least TELL you there is a 30 minute wait. Ignoring patients, never once being on time is not because every patient needs critical care. It's bad management.
They have four staff on the desk but are always AT LEAST twenty minutes late for every single appointment.
An emergency room is different but a G.P. is run like a business and I'm paying for a service. One of the employees could mention a delay. That's basic common sense. I could call a G.P. to my home in ten minutes but instead I have forty minutes wasted so that Royal Randwick can take the money. It's rude and a poorly run business.
You are of course free to wait half an hour more than promised every time you need a doctor, I wish you luck. But Australian consumer law and the ACCC mean that if a G.P. is not capable or providing the services they advertise, I do not have to "understand" their problems. I'm paying them, not vice versa.
Dear Zanaril,
Thank you for your positive comment. We work hard to provide high quality care and normally our patients are very understanding. We are a very busy practice and can not avoid wait times. We don't turn urgent cases away so this contributes greatly to the sometimes extended wait times. Customer care and service are our highest priority and it was very much appreciated last year when we won the, Australian Business Gold award for Excellence in Customer service. Thank you again for your support.
