Dropped in to this place after the night market not expecting much. Ended up staying way too long thanks to great staff, BEAUTIFUL pork loin with mash and kickarse cider sauce. Was going to take photo but wolfed it down too quick. Great value. Fully recommend this pub.
Small pub with friendly staff near the city. We are from out of town but visit here regularly when in Melbourne. Food is cheap but well presented and tasty. Most of the ingredients, I understand, are fresh form the nearby Vic markets. This is a lovely spot just on the edge of the CBD, so it's usually pretty quiet unless there's a function on, and children are welcome. And they serve decent beer, too: none of that disgusting stuff in the green can!
