Rubicon

My all-time favourite restaurant in Canberra. Every time I go, the food is amazing and service impeccable. The wine list is quite extensive, and the waiters know what to suggest for your palate. I prefer to do a tasting of everything on the menu rather than pick one dish, that way you get to sample all of the goodness!!!

My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary there. The atmosphere was wonderful, it is a warm and intimate setting with a beautiful luxurious feel. Our meals were very good, and the wine was brilliant. It is not cheap, but for such a special occasion it was well worth it.

We were disappointed that when one of our starters, the gnocchi, proved gritty and inedible and the chef acknowledged that the sage could not have been properly washed we were not offered an alternative and had to ask for the cost to be removed from the bill. This proved really embarrassing and spoiled what would have otherwise been an excellent meal.

Absolutely wonderful! Rubicon is definitely one the top 3 fine dining restaurants in Canberra, and I've eaten in a LOT of places! Wonderful attentive staff, lovely ambience, superb food and vast dessert list. The only bad thing is you want to try everything on the menu!



Nice romantic place for two or a fabulous location for a group gathering!

I've been to Rubicon quite a few times now and, on every occasion, have found the food to be exceptional and the service friendly and attentive. The food is carefully prepared and is perfectly balanced.
