Poor service and over-priced labour fee. Don’t recommend it to anyone!

Hi Henry, thankyou for taking the effort to attempt to discredit Russell Electric & Gas. This validates the reason we refuse to work for Wok Sticks Rural View. We arent the first and im sure we wont be the last trade to refuse to return to your business. If any customers or tradesman are interested in the reasons for this business being blacklisted and the subsequent 1 star review in retaliation please call 0427 427901.

Hi Russell Electrical,

The review was based on our honest opinion about your service. For one, you turned up to our business without giving us any notice before hand and got upset when we asked if we could reschedule to a suitable time for both parties. You then sent us an invoice and expected us to pay the full amount before the job was done. When we tried to communicate with you via the phone, you were aggressive and hung up on us (which you argued in the email that you “ended” the call, not “hung-up” despite the fact that I was still talking). Secondly, when we wrote an email to requested you to please give us a notice of which day you were to return to complete the job, you refused to do so and threatened not to return to complete the job. When we expressed our disappointment about your servic and attitude, you handled the feedback by blacklisting us.

Thirdly, a month later, we received a statement from you charging us the parts and freight evethough you never returned to complete your job with the parts. When we wrote an email requesting you to re-issue an invoice with the 2-hour labour fee with the hourly rate stated on the invoice as that was what you promised a month ago when you said you were not returning to our businesss and blacklisted us simply because we made some reasonable requests, you replied with sarcasm “most people can divide by two,” which was very unprofessional. All the evidence were in our email trails and I am more than happy reveal them if necessary. If the review was an attempt of retaliation we would have done it a month ago when you “blacklisted” us (I am sure there are many many other tradesmen who are professional and easy to deal with in Mackay.)

Oh Wok Sticks it saddens me that after all our previous correspondents you obviously still cant understand or accept why we refuse to work for your business. Im not going to explain it to you AGAIN! The decision to not return to your business was only made AFTER the phone call you speak of above and the phone call was indeed "ended" (politely) because if it wasnt i would still be having it with you a month later like i am through this review. You were not invoiced for any work or that wasnt done and for parts that werent ordered and paid for and delivered to your business....it was your choice to not have the part installed on the day we attended, even though there was not a customer in your shop, the equipment to be repaired was not operational and there was absolutley no reason aside from your staff members arrogance that the repair couldnt have been completed.

As already explained to you previously... We DONT make appointments or schedule repair jobs, they are based on priority and geographical location. Our regular clients accept that as it is in their best interest as it allows us to service them quicker and more efficiantly which is important for breakdowns, it allows us the flexibility to change our plans in an instant to attend higher priority jobs. It is why we only work for commercial businesses not domestic customers where times need to be scheduled. That is how our business is modelled and if you dont accept that, fine, but dont tell us to change what works for us and our regular client base.

Your business was not blacklisted because of " your negative feedback" it was blaclisted because of your failure to accept the way we operate as stated above and which is abhorrently obvious and justified by your continued harrasment. This was not the first job we did for your business and you obviously had no issue with our "labour rate" the first time, (and it hasnt changed), as if you did you would not have contacted us again. The "month long delay" in posting your review and the content of these added comments only proves that your issue was not with our cost or service, but in retaliation to us envoking our right to choose who we work for and who we dont! Unfortunately for Wok Sticks there are sooo many excellent businesses to work for that we dont need to deal with difficult businesses such as yours. Hi Russell Electric,

Thank you for taking the time to leave details comments to argue your point again. I am not trying to explained in details as all the evidences of your unprofessional service towards us are in the emails. Yes, the review was not about complaining your labour rate; it was mainly about your service and difficulty to work with, which we truly felt not worth the money. We had another tradesman came to fix our cooktop. They were so polite and considerate, had no problem scheduling a time to suit us, and their labour rate was also cheaper than yours.
