What makes this restaurant special is that every table has a view of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, and there is a fully enclosed al fresco balcony which is temperate all year around. Saffron Cottage sources the finest ingredients including lean meats and local and imported spices. The kitchen caters for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. It is licensed and BYO with a corkage of $7 per bottle.
We have changed location due to end of lease,we have moved temporarily to a smaller cafe until we build our cottage in Tecoma, due to down sizing to a 25 seater it is important to book for Friday & Saturday nights. Tables available for walk ins after 830 without a booking.. Discounted take away available.

Love the food in this restaurant. A little more pricey than the ones in the cheaper areas of Melbourne (and there are a lot of good ones in those areas), but its worth it. The service however, is slow and lacks warmth (they need more switched-on, vibrant and confident staff). But every dish, on every visit, has been made with beautiful flavours and quality ingredients.
