If Saigon Bowl was a lot closer to were I lived I would be a regular. The Vietnamese food was marvellous; beautiful to look at and packed with flavours and respect from the chef. The people of Strathfield are highly fortunate for this place being in their hometown. Review is now up on Spooning Australia.
It's been a while since I've been here. It's because the first time didn't impress
This time it's the same
Prices are high for Vietnamese food
My broken rice combination was good apart from the lack of fish sauce and the pork chip was salty. The pork chop was s decent size
My missus Crispy chicken and noodle soup, she thought it was average
No tea on hand but they did give us water and the food came out at a reasonable rate
Compared to Cabramatta or Bankstown it's not in the same league
This a dependable restaurant within Strathfield. I used to come here regularly for takeaway. This is a mainstay in this area and has outlasted nearly every other restaurant as this is now basically Koreatown as for every restaurant that has shut down, a Korean restaurant has replaced it.
Service here is friendly and brisk. Served within moments of sitting down, the speed which the food is delivered in extremely quick time.
The food we ordered were Canh Ga (stuffed chicken wings, 2pcs), Bun Cha Gio (spring rolls with vermicelli), and Bun Suon (pork chop with vermicelli. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I found it to be good value for money. The stuffed chicken wing could've been a bit hotter in the middle. A refreshing Coconut Juice was what I drank.
