Salamanca Market is always the first thing I can think of to visit whenever I am at Hobart. Located just steps off the CBD and the city's harbour, this market only opens on Saturday morning and afternoon and occupies a very large and slightly leafy outdoor parking areas. There are more than 300 stalls available, all positioned perfectly so you can easily browse everything without missing a single stall. There are stalls for food such as fresh produce, ready-to-eat snacks like bratwurst and Chinese takeaways, and different varieties of confectioneries including fudges. There are also heaps of merchandises available, most from Tasmanian resources and local artists, such as books and clothes. You should visit the Tasmanian honey stalls there were around 4 to 5 stalls that sell them, all slightly differ from one another. They only open on Saturdays from morning to afternoons so you've got to make the best of your time there.
