Located within the Albany Creek Tavern, Sams doubles as a restaurant and bar. Serving traditional pub food, the menu draws inspiration from Modern Australian and Mediterranean cuisine, with mains including the linguini avocado marinara and chicken parmigiana. There are also a range of char grilled steaks including the 1824 rump and fillet mignon. For the younger gourmands, a children's menu is available. Opt to dine indoors or outside for fresh air and sunshine.

We have been going to the ACT for over 10years and have always enjoyed both the service and the food. However, tonight we went for my mothers birthday which turned out to be one fo the worst nights out EVER!! We not only go out to the ACT but we go out frequently to other restaurants. And this is the first review I have EVER written. Both the service and the food was bad. First they overcharged my husband, then they didn't have the meals that my parents wanted to order. Then an saff bought 2 meals to our table which we said we didn't order. We were very friendly and certainly not rude. asked if someone ordered the large steak meal to which my husband replied that he had ordered the small. We then asked what the other meal was to which staff answered Calamari. We informed her that we did not order either of those meals. Then said 'well someone ordered it'. Sams is a great family restaurant! They have both an outdoor playgym and indoor entertainment facilities like video games, DVDs, puzzles and books to keep the kids happy!
Food is reasonably priced with a cheaper preset menu midweek. I recommend the steak, it was cooked to perfection!
