I stumbled upon this beautiful web site "www.sandyhollow.com.au" and as I desperately needed a vacation I decided to pack the family in the car and take the 4 hours drive from Sydney to this camp ground to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing couple of days surrounded by nature. Unfortunately our stay was anything but peaceful. This camp site is right next to a gas station and all camping areas are within earshot and sight of the road that runs through the town. This road is frequented by large trucks which rumbles through the town and for what ever crazy reason some of these trucks stop at the gas station for hours on end but leave there engines running which completely spoils the mood. Also, there is a train track not to far from there which also adds to the noise pollution.
