Scott Damien's On The Lake
Caboolture's Own Licensed RestaurantScott Damien's on the Lake opened in March 2000. Showcasing the finest local produce and wines since 2000, the multi award-winning Scott Damien's on the Lake has become synonymous with quality and consistency. Tranquil views over the Caboolture River and Lakes - best enjoyed from the outdoor deck - are balanced by the vibrancy of an open kitchen where you can witness the creation of each dish. Asian and Mediterranean flavours are effortlessly combined to create a wide range of dishes including seafood, meat, pasta, curries and a wide selection of house made desserts.
As an introduction to our first menu we stated the restaurants we admire most were those that were consistent every visit even though menus continue to evolve.
Scott Damien's on the Lake is a family owned restaurant. Scott is the chef. He did his apprenticeship and worked extensively in Noosa at restaurants such as Rosers, Michels and Ricki Ricardos. Gerard, the dad, looks after the wines and the floor.

It was our 1st anniversary and thought we would book a supposed good local restaurant so we tried Scott Damiens, they asked me what was the occasion of which I told them. When we arrived we were shown to a table near an open very breezy balcony and right near a long table with very loud people. The table of noisy people dominated the whole room and we couldnt hear each other talk. We were given water and menus and left alone. We sat for 15 minutes waiting for someone to ask us for drinks..no one came so I had to go searching myself. The prices of food are very high and considering that they cant even provide proper serviettes small paper ones which is pretty pathetic considering they charge $39 for a 200gram steak. We had Oysters Kilpatrick (burnt) and Garlic prawns (5 little prawns in amongst soggy mushrooms and a pile of rice!) Mains included Garlic prawns (larger size, mound of rice the size of Uluru and more soggy mushrooms!) Greek Lamb (tough ...read more
After a wait staff mistook us for members of another party and neglected us for 5 minutes (we had made a booking) staff made up for it by hovering by out table and giving us extra large serves. What really let this restaurant down was the wait staff who was told we were waiting for our bill and then preceeded to chat to a friend until i had to come up to them personally reminding them that i had asked for the bill. The restaurant itself was unpleasantly noisy, lacked in any defining decoration or style and had staff who clearly had no idea how to wait tables. This place was a last resort and i will not be returning
Could not have been more disappointed with this restaurant. We had a 7:30 reservation on a Wednesday night. We were told we needed to order our food immediately as the kitchen was closing at 8pm. We ordered a dozen natural oysters for our entre and they were fine, nothing fantastic but good. My husband ordered a rack of lamb and I ordered the fish special. While waiting for our meals, I was surprised and disgusted at the conversation coming from the open kitchen. Some glass between the kitchen and the dining room would be a worth while investment for this restaurant. My husbands lamb was extremely over cooked to the point that the meat was tough and chewy. My meal was the main concern, apart from looking like a first week apprentice had put it together, there was a hair sitting on top of a piece of potato. The staff kindly asked if I would like my meal replaced and I said it was okay and pushed the potato to the side of my plate and just asked that ...read more
