Shipwrights Arms Hotel

Heritage hotel, cosy and wood fire warm mid winter but food and bev does not match the ambience. We were disappointed with the limited local beer selection, and not offering a chardonnay by the glass, as least on the night we were there, is surely a major oversight. The "foccacia" was toasted cheese on garlic bread, the chowder was bland and the trevally batter was very average, bordering on soggy. Very disappointing.

Very very yummy foods, a cosy restaurant. Outdoor and indoor seating. Woodfire in winter. We found that we could get a lovely private spot so in peace we could talk together and really enjoyed our evening there.
