Persian cuisine has influenced many world cuisines, and has absorbed elements from other cuisines as well. It's no surprise that Persian ingredients such as saffron, pomegranate and spinach have made their way into other cuisines! As ancient traders took their wares to the corners of the world, they traded goods, bringing back the eating habits and ingredients from Greece, Rome, Turkey, Russia and India. Today's Persian cuisine traces its roots to ancient Persian ingredients and recipes, and is enriched by the great tastes imported from the rest of the world!

A warm night on the Coast, great company and a free night to dine out with visiting family, what better place than Shiraz Persian Restaurant. A table of six we opted for 3 share plates of authentic Persian long grain rice, beautiful selection of chicken, lamb and beef skewers, fresh salad and plenty of condiments. Absolutely delicious!! Attentive service but not smothering and plenty of outdoor seating, which offers quite an interesting scene during schoolies week haha ;)
Whilst enjoying a weekend getaway, we bought an online dining voucher for this place. Because our time was limited we only had one night to be able to enjoy our meal.When we phoned to book for dinner, the lady said we could get in at 8pm. When we mentioned we had a voucher, she put the manager on who said there was no availability until the next month. I tried not to sound annoyed but mentioned that we were on holiday and bought it specifically so we could use it for our wedding anniversary dinner. He asked if was convenient to come the next day for lunch. Still a little miffed about losing our dinner reservation, we agreed.

Wow! :) We love your descriptive review. We are so pleased to hear that you have enjoyed every part of your meal. Meanwhile, I am so sorry that you felt a little miffed for the booking. If I may explain , we are currently in on of our busiest time of the year, serving our guests from all over the Middle-East like Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and â?¦ which they normally come with their families to Gold Coast around this time of the year and stay for some weeks.
Moreover, for the first time ever, we tried Grouponâ??s online booking system which makes it a lot easier for us and our valued customers to book tables. As a result, we did mention in our dealâ??s fine print that we will no longer accept phone bookings anymore. Continue to part 2

Consequently, we extended our deal offer period from 2 months to 4 months, so amid the 8 weeks busy season block-out, our Groupon customers would still be able to redeem their voucher before and after this season. (Groupon has provided an online calendar on the deal page and their email, so customers can check availability before purchasing their voucher)
Regardless, because this was the first time that Groupon was lunching this system, some of our customers were a bit confused and were willing to use the traditional phone booking. Continue to part 3
