Donuts. Who doesn't love donuts. Quite possibly my favourite food on earth. These ones at Short stop have quite the hype about them. So I had a few (but I did share). The maple Walnut and brown butter was loaded on top of the fluffy donut. So delicious, but I'm pretty sure I'll need to run for a week. The Australian honey and sea salt one is the most advertised, but yeah it's pretty nice. They are a bit heavier than normal, but there's whole lot of dough and sugar so that would explain it. I also had the peanut butter and caramel - so decadent but so nice. They aren't cheap, and I'll probably stick to my donut King cinnamon as a routine but this place is worth a try.
Located on the eat street of Barangaroo is a collection of bakeries, tea shops, cafes and this donut shop.
I love a bit of food theatre and you can watch the donuts made fresh on-site with staff expertly punching out the donuts from a big slab of dough with cookie cutter precision. But why oh why don't they use the donut holes?
