After exhausting most of the fine dining options in the Blue Mountains, we decided to try Silk's after reading the many positive reviews online. While the notice out the front said that their reservation list was full for the night (a Thursday night), after making some inquiries inside we were able to secure a table for two next to the bar. The decor is cosy, the restaurant a little smaller than I had envisioned for its popularity. The only negatives I would have is the paper over the tablecloths. While I noticed that a family with children were making good use of the paper with crayons, I felt this rather detracted from the atmosphere I would have expected from a hatted restaurant. Went for dinner with a company of 6 on a Friday night. Service was very slow and too formal. We had to wait for a long time for our orders and they didn't come out altogether. The place was very noisy so we could not communicate much. The food didn't impress us and we could not wait to finish the dinner and get on with our night out.
