I am a client of sloans since 2 years..This year In feb I got my hair coloured pink at Sloans. While the process of getting it done was perfect. My stylist was the sweetest and walked me through the process and suggested the highlights I could have and the hair cut. There is not one thing that I would want to change about it. She also clearly mentioned that pink colour on dark hair of my kind can have unpredictable outcomes [which I agreed to was totally fine with]. She also mentioned that the colour would lighten in about 6 weeks and I would need to get a toning treatment.
What I didn’t know was the hot pink colour that resulted after the colouring, would strip down to blonde in the first hair wash and by the second week I ...read more
This was a great salon until my hairdresser left and I got a bad colour and cut on the last two occasions from 2 other different hairdressers.
I was made to feel bad when I went back to have it corrected. I even had the hairdresser whisper in my ear. "That's not what you asked for" as she walked past when I came back to have my hair colour corrected. I was crystal clear with what I wanted - the same as I was getting from Michael so I wouldn't have changed what I loved. Yet it's my fault.
Its a revolving door for the hairdressers in this place. I wonder why?
Hi Claudia,
Thank you very much for this review. however, you omitted to mention that you have had 6 recolours with us and on every ocassion we strived to produce the result you were after. On a couple of occasions you also didnt want to pay the price quoted for the large colour work you wanted, so we were limited in achieving your desired result. Clearly we are not the salon for you!
Also, we have just had our 8th staff member reach their long service leave! All in all, fanatstic staff retention.
We hope you find the hairdresser that suits your needs.
Went there today (Oct) to re-dye my hair and do some foils. Reading some of the reviews below, I can understand why they were made, because this place takes your hair very seriously!
They seem to be big into the pre-haircut consult process to work out what you want and how it can be achieved.
I went through it. Yes, they are probably pretty pedantic about the consultation process, but yes, when I had been through it, the girl understood me, and ...read more
My wife is new to Australia and I took her to this saloon but the lady over there advised us to go to a saloon that their talk in my language wich I found it very rud, anyway I'm hoping to see a day that no one in Australia talk like that to foreign people
We are extremely sorry for this apparent miscommunication. We are a multicultural salon and welcome all nationalities, both in terms of our staff and our clients. The challenge for this particular appointment was communicating to your wife (through you) that the colour transformation she had asked for via photo references (dark to ash blonde) needed a thorough consultation and could not be achieved in one appointment, which is why we suggested your wife could perhaps come back in with a girlfriend who could better translate her needs and our limitations, or perhaps find an alternative stylist would could better advise without the language barriers. Once again, apologies if this message was misinterpreted.
No you didn't asked to comeback with a girlfriend and choosing from picture was your suggestion in the first place
I was looking for a salon does everything for my wife in the regular bases
But because you don't have any power on your stuff they act how they want
I think you are too busy and you loosing control of the shop
I'm running a company too and I know what I'm saying
Hope you get a better management soon
I had a really great experience, which was unexpected given some other reveiws? The receptionist was very helpful, my stylist Michael was great, listened to what I wanted and made me feel right at home. I also spoke to the lady who does straightening and she answered all my questions thoroughly and politely.
I was offered tea/coffee/wine and got biscuits too. I really thought the whole experience was great and priced reasonably for my very long, very thick hair! I've found my new hairdresser :)#reviewtowin
