South Melbourne Glass

Like a lot of Mirvac apartments in Lorimer St, the shower doors are glass and use rectangular metal hinges. One of our two glass doors was making horrible noises when closed, all due to the hinges. We asked around and South Melbourne Glass (SMG) was recommended. The good news is that they completed the job and the door is now very quiet, and when they did turn up they were courteous and very pleasant people. But that is not all the story as our bank account is still screaming.
After contacting SMG for a visit to see what the problem was we waited for them to arrange a visit. When that did not happen after 3 weeks we rang them to hear 'We already did that job earlier this week according to the note on teh desk' - so we had to explain they hadn't. So an assessment visit was arrange for within the next couple of days. The assessment visit result was 'it needs new hinges but they may be hard to get'.
