Spice Bazaar The Food Of India

Super delicious food - I've been to India 3 times and my husband is Indian, so I've had a lot of Indian food over the years and the food from Spice Bazaar is much more authentic than other restaurants without the huge amounts of cream & oil. The breakfasts on weekends (Southern Indian style) are particularly good - I love the masala dosas! - and make this restaurant stand out from the others. The owners are also very friendly and a real part of the community.

We had a voucher for two meal and we arrived we have been told that we had to wait because the customers without vouchers are served first.



Finally we choose food and left the shop, the food was cold.

Limited menu which is refreshing in a way; its all pretty fresh and tasty, if slightly unadventurous. Was pleased to see some whole spices in my dishes; especially cardamom. The Tikka with spinach could have used some more spinach, but was my favourite dish regardless.



I guess you need to take it as it is; its not particularly appealing as eat-in as its a fairly pokey and basic interior. But for a quick takeaway Indian meal at very reasonable prices it definately serves its purpose, well above the average in its category.
