Spit Roast Catering

Used this company in the weekend for a 50th birthday celebration. Had their classic spit roast option. Plenty of food. Meat was tender, good selection of salads. Desserts were yummy. Was aware there would only be 2 hot nibbles per person but how much do you need before having main course and dessert. REALLY. More than happy with these guys.

So Disappointed. The food was beautiful and the staff amazing but the finger food and portion serves were about as bad as it gets. We had 74 people at our home for a joint 60th/21st party. The finger food was a tray of hot potato gems and chicken nuggets and they allowed a total of 2 per person one of each. Shock, no spring rolls,mini quiches, meatballs or any of the usual finger foods. Two tzatziki dips and crackers were placed on a table. I had only booked for 67 and admit that I wound up with 74(not planned) but hey we had quite a few kids there and I thought its a spit roast so there should be lots of meat, we will get by. Wrong again. The meat was already cooked and arrived in a bain marie, although I had 3 types of meat my guests were supposed to select, not have a piece of each and there was definitely no allowance for seconds. We had an event last month where we used Qld Spit Roast Catering for a 50th. Great food, great value for money too. Thanks to the staff on the 25th May 2013, you did a great job.

Very disappointed with this company. Will never use them again. Not all food was supplied that was quoted and paid for.

Bad value for money - barely enough meat - And to top this off WAIT FOR IT -we actually paid for all guests, however 16 adults and 4 children did not turn up(approx 20% of guests) and you guessed it - funny that still not enough meat!!!!!!!!. I will not carry on about the lack of many other items!!!

Have used other spit roast companies and the amount of meat left over was to say more than generous.

Stay very clear - You will be dissapointed.

We were very disappointed with this company. We had 80 guests for the wedding and had arranged finger food, mains and desert. The caterers turned up late and left early, 1 platter of finger food was served, guests were refused some mains and not enough food for the last group of guests. Only 1 of the 3 deserts was served. the other desert was seen in the kitchen but the caterers took it home. The tea and coffee was left in the kitchen and not brought out to the guests, the caterers them selves were very rude to the guests. I called up management and left e-mails but they didn't reply.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Very disappointing experience especially for a wedding.
