Lots of sports gear, shoes & clothing in this shop at the Pines. It's located right at the southern entrance of the shopping centre. As soon as I walked in, two staff members said hello and asked if I needed help with anything. Unfortunately they didn't stock what I was after, but I was impressed with their friendly & helpful demeanor. And they were happy to tell me about other stores close by that might have what I wanted.
worst place to buy any sporting equipment on the coast!!!!! Every pair of soccer/football boots i have bought from the store have been dodgy cheap. I payed around $170 for a pair of boots, not knowing that on other store they were only valued at $50-$70 (depending on location) that lasted, i kid you not, 5 weeks. I went to return them, they said I had purposely done that myself (sole fell off) and the best they could do is a store credit. I responded by saying why would I want a store credit when im never coming back here and they started getting moody. so basically, avoid it as much as possible, stick to big name companies even if you have to travel a bit to get there.
A most horrible experience. Purchased a pair of sports shoes for $160. After 3 wears the stitching came apart on 1 shoe. We returned to the shop for a replacement or refund, which was refused, "they send the shoes to Mr Minute for repairs." We were not happy with this & voiced our opinion. management was rude. We lodged a complaint with Fair Trading & Asics who were both supportive of us. The outcome was a replacement pair of shoes, which we would have accepted had it been offered to us in the first place. Our issue was that the shoes were being sent to Mr Minute for a repair, which was unacceptable to us. The bottom line is we had to involve Fair Trading to get a fair result. Beware if you ever have to return anything to this shop or mention the word "refund".
