Very dodgy people(Too friendly was a sign ) Poor professional service.
Car failed to start and was told fuel pump needs to be changed. Waited 2 hours after i was told they had replaced it and charged $249 for a fuel pump.
Next day car failed to start again I've called another mechanic and was told fuel pump was a used unit and about to fail.
Called the car manufacturer auto part shop they told me it was $99 for entire fuel unit including the pump with 3 months warranty.
Fully tested and guarantee.
(Sould of cost 150-200 max with labour)
What a joke! Please dont take any services here waste your money and time.
Ended up spending $428 !!
Always go to a registered mechanic and check reviews online or just call RACV your guarantee to go to a approved RACV centre
Rude and overpriced, went down to have a hole in the exhaust looked at they tried to quote me $2800 to fix a noisy exhaust when i said id think about it they tried hi pressure sales tactics and even tried to charge me for quoting it !!! in the end i went to another shop that put a patch on there and only charged me $75 .....st albans exhaust centre is perfect business for people with no sence and lots of money to give away.
Took my car for roadworthy and a service. they used the VIN number as the engine number so when i got to vick roads let just say it was not fun. Even tho i asked the mechanic to dubble check for me he didnt. They charged me for a new oil filter and just general service oil filter was marked before service and after service was done i still had the same filter in the car. would never go back and don't recommend anyone be going there. Plus horrible customer service!!
I told the boss what i need done, he quoted me $100. replace starter motor on my ve ss (I supplied the part). took 3&half hours, to be told it was a ----of a job. The young apprentice crushed my 'starter heat protector' oh but I don't need it anyway apparently. After all that dodgy workmanship, the boss has the nurve to charge me $150. And I been a customer for over 10 years...Not happy at.albans axhaust, I won't be coming back. What a shame!
