The thing to do out a west is the buffet at your local RSL followed by a session on the pokies or Keno. Pretty good selection of dishes here - Roast Carvery (the lamb is always good, the beef is hit and miss depending on the day, and the pork is workable when lathered with apple sauce), Asian dishes with the usual satay, black bean sweet & sour varieties are always on point and a regular for me, Indian and Japanese Sushi Train. There's something for everyone or anyone who just can't make up their mind!
It's been a while since I've been here. The sushi train is still going which is great. The sushi itself is better than expected but visually not as appealing. Other sections are nice but nothing stood out. Plenty of options including a chocolate fountain. I came on a weeknight and it's pretty cheap considering
The place has a lot to offer when it comes to variety. I started off with their mussels... but there was just something not too fresh about them. They were bland even with sauce. There was a large offering of fried goods which seemed popular with most people.
I also sampled their cooked mussels and that was a lot better. They have a large array of meats to choose from. From Chinese BBQ to roast pork... choice was never an issue here.
What I do love about star Buffet is they even have a sushi train. It's such a simple addition but it really adds appeal. You're not getting authentic Japanese here but it's close enough to enjoy without too many complains..
