We have just had a similar issue as djbose. We had a new motor put into our valet ducted system by Starvac and was told at the time of installation (12 months) ago that we had a 3 year warranty on the new motor. Today when my husband took the system Starvac Springwood, they informed us that they wouldn't honour the warranty as it was promised to us by the installer who was a problem employee. We spent $950 dollars with Starvac to get the new motor installed and today they wanted a further $680 to replace the motor again only 12 months later. We are so sick of this and they will be hearing from our lawyer too.

My motor died one month before its 5 yr warranty, I suddenly do not have a 5 year warranty. Every where I read showroom and online, advertises 6 year or 12 year warranties on their motors, but apparently I don't have that motor??? My new motor, which I choose to take the more expensive one still only has a 12month warranty???
At the same time I mentioned a loose wire in the handle of my switch hose, 'thats not worthwhile repairing' they say. I have to purchase a new one for ...read more
Don't know what the previous poster is on about, I've had absolutely positive dealings with Theo of Star-Vac, a friend recommended them for my newly built home who has a Star-Vac system in his home for over 10 years. The installer that arrived on site was extremely polite and helpful and explained exactly what he was going to do. To date I haven't had an issue. Would recommend Star-Vac to anyone. Great job Theo thanks.
